Jenny Packham For Prince George's Christening?
23 October 2013
The world might have to wait until tomorrow to see the official pictures from Prince George's christening, but the rumour mill has, perhaps unsurprisingly, gone in to overdrive over what the Duchess of Cambridge will wear to this afternoon's ceremony at St James's Palace. And there's one designer that seemingly stands out from the rest, Jenny Packham.
The Duchess definitely feels comfortable in Jenny Packham's flattering dresses. She has chosen bespoke Jenny Packham pieces on a number of occasions, from state tours to black tie events and, of course, Prince George's first outing on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital back in July. And a private family event calls for something that's unfussy and timeless like Jenny Packham.
While we'll have to wait and see exactly what the Duchess wears, the names of Prince George's godparents have now been made public by Clarence House. They are university friend, Oliver Baker; Catherine's former Marlborough college classmate, Emilia Jardine-Paterson; the Duke of Westminister's son, Earl Grosvenor; the Duke & Duchess's former private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton; close friend of Princess Diana, Julia Samuel; William's childhood friend, William van Cutsem and cousin, Zara Tindall.
