The high street giant welcomed a new style director, Belinda Earl, last autumn and the new autumn/winter 2013 collection is Earl's first offering. Hailing from revered design houses Aquascutum and Jaeger, Earl's eye for classic British style is written all over the collection.
From sleek, tailored coats in retro Sixties shapes to luxurious fabrics in cashmere and silk, M&S say they have listened to customer feedback and increased the use of quality fabrics to lure customers to its rails. There are Victoria Beckham-style knee-skimming dresses to flatter womanly silhouettes and on-trend tartan checks that scream classic British design.
But the one piece that's got the fashion world abuzz? This sherbet pink wool coat (pictured). With more than a nod to French design house Celine's autumn/winter version, this sugary pink shade is a welcome addition to any sombre winter wardrobe, injecting colour and fun when skies turn grey.
