Ditch the detox
For years, health buffs have praised the 'pre-diet detox', the concept of eschewing solids and sticking to a very strict diet of water and juice. But in truth, these detoxes are little more than an exercise in starvation. Our bodies are already perfecty adapted to meet our detoxing needs. If anything, these regimes simply encourage the body to store even more weight when you do start eating normally again.
