Hi Trueface, I'm surprised you are just asking me Lol! I guess you must have been reading the posts before joining, so you must have a good idea of what we are about already. We just chat about what interests us and what is going on in our lives.

The best thing to do is for you to introduce yourself on 'Your Lives', which is where most of us spend our time, so go to Your Lives, and click on 'Post New thread' at the top left and tell us something about yourself.

I see you are a Seo Specialist, which I hadn't heard of before, but, after looking it up, see you are a Digital Marketing Specialist, so tell us about this, and why you have joined the forum.

    Noviemie (Nancy) - Welcome!

Not many ladies stop by on this part of the forum, so, to introduce yourself and get a welcome, why not post a thread on 'Your Lives'. Then we can all get to know you!

You can also answer any thread you like by filling in your clear window at the bottom of the last thread you see, bearing in mind there may be more than one page, so you would go to the last page, and fill in and post your thread there.

    Is it just me?

    Hello,
i have been a reader and a subscriber to W&H for many years now. I have to confess to becoming more and more dissatisfied and disgruntled with the magazine and wonder if any other readers share this?
This dissatisfaction covers three main areas:
Firstly, when I pick my copy up from the doormat the celebrity on the front cover has been airbrushed to a point to where I sometimes find her almost unrecognisable! Most of these celebrities are strong, successful women who have not made their fame from their looks alone, do they really need to be depicted like this? Surely other women realise this is not real? Is this something we are supposed to try and achieve ourselves without the aid of a surgeons knife?
Secondly the under representation of women of colour. As a mixed race woman myself, born and raised in England I rarely see anyone I can identify with. Why?
Thirdly, the cost of the ' fashion'. Yes an argument would be that these expensive clothes are only a guide, cheaper clothes can be found. Why don't the stylists find them then?
I have never considered myself to be a 'grumpy old woman' . I think my friends would see me as fun. I do however live in the REAL world. I have spent my working life as a counsellor working with women who invariably have issues regarding body image, self worth, self confidence.
Maybe I am off track ? Maybe W&H are in the realms of portraying pretty pictures, fantasy. Maybe my understanding of ' A brand new attitude' is wrong.
Yes show us beauty, pretty things, etc but make them REAL..........please?
