We're taking our eldest up to Uni on 12th September, from Warwickshire. So far have had recommendations to drive up to Glasgow then onto Edinburgh as a quick route, but once in the city the last time I was up with her (flew up - NEVER AGAIN !!) most of the city roads seemed to be dug up and I am concerned it will take us ages to get to the otherside of the Meadows?? and that the sat nav won't know that the roads are dug up !!! Is there anyone local on here that can give me some 'insider' knowledge please?
