I am going chocolate 'stir crazy' because I am not allowed to eat it! But here is a wicked recipe that I have made for those who do not like Christmas pudding:
Slice a McVities chocolate sponge into 1cm slices and line a deep glass trifle bowl. Pour over a tin of black cherries or a jar of marachinos Pour over a miniture bottle of cherry Kirtsh and allow to soak into the sponge and fruit. Make and pour over a raspberry jelly and chill until set. Top with chocolate custard (ready made from M&S) Finish with whipped double cream and chocolate shavings.
Divine!
