I/ll tell you what we did and you can use whatever you think will work for you. We wrote letters to local businesses and shops explaining what we were doing and asked for donations for a raffle. We got a great response and the raffles raised hundreds of pounds. Make sure to display a list of all companies who donated as it's good advertising for them. We hired a local band and had a great disco/dance. Great fun We had a buffet. Tombola. Quiz. We charged £10 a ticket including buffet. Both events were sold out within a week. Get the local press involved. if you're raising funds for charity you'll find people can be very generous.we were given venues free of charge as long as we used their buffets.
