I have recently succeeded in losing 4 stone and so far have kept it off ( 6 months) in fact I have lost 3lbs since then. How did I do it? No tricks, no clubs, I talked to myself. In the past I have always tried to lose weight with a target of say 2 stones in 3 months. This time I said I wanted to lose weight as slowly as possible never more than 1lb a week-that's 52lbs in a year. I started off making a small change at a time, gradually adding another change as time went by. I didn't tell anyone I was dieting. Sometimes I had to eat more if I unexpectedly lost two pounds The pounds fell off. I eat in a totally different way and there is no longer any guilt about food.
