Hi Sheila welcome to the forum - post a 'Hi I'm New' notice on Your Lives and everyone will welcome you, this is a very friendly forum. I went to Marrakech some years ago for a day trip while on holiday in Morocco and absolutey loved it - I would like to go back for a sort break at some time as there is so much to do and see. There was plenty to spend your money on then and I would imagine that there is even more now. We were advised to have an official guide take us round the kasbah to ensure that we were not cheated and I imagine that this advice would still be true. Don't forget to haggle the price down for anything you buy and you should get some lovely bargains. Don't forget to spend an evening in the Djema el Fna Square where there is a lot of entertainment including snake charmers (eugh).
