Hi there, its a big responsibility isnt it? And can be quite anxiety provoking because as sure as eggs are eggs there will be mixed reviews about whatever you decide on. I belong to 3 book clubs (sad, I know!) and the book that has had a good response from them all is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. If anyone had told me that I would have enjoyed a book that has a circus at its core I would never have believed them! It has a wonderful life story, a strong romance, excitement and ticked all the right boxes for me.... I suppose that its been a long time since I read a book that has a cracking story and this is it. It is inexpensive online at the usual outlets and is available on the high street too so its easy to get a hold of. Some of the copies even have notes for discussion for book clubs in the back of the book. Perhaps have a look at some of the reviews of it online. If it doesnt strike a chord with you then maybe some other forum readers might like it...a great feel good read.
