During most of the year I use Waitrose Rich Italian blend, but at Christmas time I treat myself to some coffee from Fortnum and Mason. Once you have opened the coffee it is important to store it in an airtight container.

I use water from a Britax water jug and use the water slightly off the boil (sorry, racey!). I put one heaped dessertspoon full of coffee per person into a jug and then top up with boiling water. Stir and leave to stand. I heat the milk in a saucepan and make sure it really boils and is frothy. Pour the coffee through a strainer into cups or mugs and top up with the milk.
