I agree with Nikki2 Gaggia are the Rolls Royce of coffee making, however we love our coffee here and have a Krups machine which does filter, espresso and capuccino, we dont use the espresso/capuccino much, but OH makes filter every morning. Buying fresh beans and grinding is the best but we buy ready ground and after trying all the brands on the market have settled on - Tescos Original !! I spent a long time researching the piece of equipment I wanted, then once I had got it found the coffee we liked. Its like perfume, different people like different flavours. Also we use tap water and ordinary milk, my son is a Barista and we have tried some of his recommendations and still come back to our favourite method.
