Thanks for the info on librarything website. I had a quick tour round their site this morning and have now signed up.

I have a great stack of books to read but some of them are just books people bring in at work and leave for anyone that wants them. I can never resist bringing them home if nobody else wants them but now feel I have so many that it's getting me down, if that makes sense as I haven't got time to read a lot at the moment. So I've decided they're all going to the charity shop and I'm going to start again. Only this time look for recommendations or use this new website to look up and see what else people are reading. So often in the past I have wasted time on a novel trying to get into it.
