Re: Holidaying Alone!
      08/06/2009 19:16

I am going on holiday on my own for the first time this year. My two teenage sons (19 and 16) think they are too old to go with mum and so i thought why not. I booked on a walking break with a company called Walking Women and they cater for women going on their own or with friends if they want to. I'm walking in the Lakes but it's not strenuous, just 4 miles a day plus plenty of time to chat and have a drink ( alcoholic or coffee whatever you want). I've never done this before but it sounded really good so i took the plunge and booked it. It's only 4 nights so if i don't like it its not the end of the world but i'm sure i will enjoy my freedom. I know this isn't abroad and you say you fancy going abroad and walking isn't everyone's cup of tea but just though i'd mention it!
Good luck in whatever you decide to do anyway!
