I went about 2 years ago, flew Virgin and stayed in Havana and Varadero.We went in october, dry season is november to april, so we had a couple of exotic thunderstorms but apart from that its about 30 degrees all year round. Havana is being renovated as much of it fell down. We tried all the bars for the best mohito, the best one was the one we shared at the airport to finish up our currency.We loved sitting on the terrace of the Hotel Inglaterra drinking ice cold beer watching the american cars go by.We also hired a horse drawn carriage for 2 hours and Federico and his horse Picasso showed us all the sights.We ended up in a bar Hemingway used to frequent and took a drink of water outside for the horse. Go all inclusive at Varadero, the beach is fantastic and the staff couldn`t do enough for us. Next time I go I shall stay at Parque Central in Havana which is central for sightseeing but has a rooftop pool and the Breezes Varadero where we stayed last time.
