Hi Ifdanny,

Welcome to the forum. I will echo everything the ladies have already said and then some. You are certainly not invisible, just maybe going through some identity issues possibly. If your role is defined by being a wife and mother and you feel you are not needed so much or getting much back from that role (or both!) then it is bound to make you feel lonely because you probably feel you can't make them understand how you feel and you don't want to 'burden' them with your thoughts. You really aren't alone there. As you can see, it is certainly not your age (I am ten years younger than you and I feel like that at times too!) it is just the modern pressures of family life these days. Men don't really communicate with us like we do, they feel they have to bottle it all up because they are men, I am sure your OH really appreciates you and so do your kids, they just couldn't contemplate life without you and what you mean to them but just don't let you know it so well!!!

Plan little dinners and days out etc to get away from house/work etc. My OH and I do not have friends we only have each other but I do my best to socialise or go out on my own and he has his time on his own too. Like wise Foxie says, you will not be invisible on the forum, any time you feel like talking we are all here to hear you. Take it from me, it is a huge comfort to know you are not the only one going through stuff, we are here to listen and comfort.

Hope you feel better soon,

dgt3
