I think others are right - they certainly need very little water. Someone told me to simply douse the whole pot in lukewarm water once a week and no more. I have been doing that with an orchid I was given last year and adding orchid feed to the water recently and it is going wild. Loads of new roots and two flowering stems shooting up. Let's hope they actually do flower.
