My Mum lives in a sheltered housing complex on the edge of a housing estate in cambridgeshire, this morning I rang her to tell her to be careful if she goes out because of the ice.
This is my Mums Reply...
' the Warden/Manager has had a letter from head office to say that they are not allowed to clear the snow/ice in any shape or form for fear of being sued'
she also said that kids had been sliding up and down on the ice infront of the main door, so the poor oldies cant go out for fear of falling over
Whatever next will the council stop gritting the roads incase they get sued, or will people stop helping others for fear of being sued.
Sorry girls rant over, now going back to my dinner, and if this post appears twice, i'm sorry I posted it once and it got lost, must be the gremlins Ha Ha. Have a good evening
