FOOTBALLER'S DECLINE
      06/01/2009 11:14

Good Morning Everyone,

Wonder if anyone watched the really sad documentary last night about Paul Gasgoine?

When I say sad, I really mean, I felt so much for his own child and his two stepchildren, and of course his ex-wife, as they seem to be so trapped in whatever they try to do to make his condition more bearable.

To see someone who had such talent, and now is just a man who is an alchoholic, bipolar, and has many other medical problems, and seems determined to continue on the road to destruction, I wonder how he got to this state in the first place.

Initially, I felt sorry for him, but by the end of the programme, my sympathies were all with his ex-wife and children. Such a sad story.
