Hiya, Just seen the posts on carpet cleaners. Did your Vax work? I bought one for £99 also well discounted and have tried it once so far in the hall - worst place. Did work well for a general clean but it's hard to get very old ground in stains out. My carpets are also beige/fawn and have been through a family with 2 dogs and now us with a dog. Lots of stains and blobs although the carpets themselves are generally still reasonably good. Would be interested to hear your experience. I am going to have another go in New Year with other areas.
