Re: Hysterectomy – a New Year present
      29/12/2008 14:03

Hi - I'm due to have a hysterectomy (including tubes and ovaries) to deal with a borderline ovarian cyst. I'm only just starting all my research on it, but I haven't yet heard about the two types of op - suction and traditional.

Can anyone tell me what the differences are? I need to recover as fast as I can, with minimum bedrest, and out of hospital ASAP, but I also need to ensure that everything comes out as 'cleanly' as possible, especially my ovaries, so as to reduce any risk of them 'bursting' and spreading what MAY be early-cancer cells into my body.

Many thanks folks. Julie

PS - if anyone knows of any good hysterectomy forums, please do say! Thanks again.
