Sallykins - thanks for explaining your family tradition. We used to have a traditional lunch and then a full supper on Christmas Day. It was non stop eating!!. Once my mother died, we changed things and just have a late Christmas lunch (about 4.30pm) and then on Boxing Day we eat all the cold cuts, salads, pickles, garlic bread etc. So much nicer!
It's interesting how family traditions evolve isn't it?
