Citygirl. I know exactly what you mean. The previous hairdresser to the current one told me I'd look great with longer hair then chopped it to within an inch of it's life. Just glad I didn't ask for it short! This prompted me to pay for a really good cut at Vidal Sassoon(s/p?) in Edinburgh, cost a lot but has proved worth it and lasted longer (I also have hair that grows like weeds) and more importantly I feel in control of how I look as the style was a joint decision between me and the stylist.
