Loo, you are totally right. I am a chemist by training and used to sell chemicals to the cosmetics industry. Everything in this world is a chemical by definition - even water. Deodorants do not prevent perspiration, just stop the chemical reaction between the sweat and the bacteria on the skin which causes the odour. Anti-perspirants on the other hand, which contain Alumunium Chlorhydrate (the dreaded man-made chemical) actually block the pores and stop the sweat getting to the skin. It depends what you want from a product - odour masking or perspiration stopping!

I've just found that you can get the product on Ebay when I looked it up to see what it contains. The ammonium chemical that it is made of might well be naturally occuring, but could also be iritatating and high pH. Hydrochloric acid is a naturally occuring product in the stomach but I wouldn' want to be putting it on my skin! Not all man-made chemicals are bad.
