Ladies
For Christmas last yeat my future MIL gave us a really cheap, plastic electric egg boiler (between the two of us, of course) she bought in France, so we couldn't use it here without going to buy a converter plug but it broke as I got it i got of the box so I didn't need to worry about it. OH though I had broken it deliberately - I wouldn't mind but he hates boiled eggs and according to his twin sister has hated them as far back as she can remember. It went in the Bin on Boxing Day. Fortunatly future MIL lives in France, but comes back to the UK every couple of months so isn't likely to dop in at any time soon and expect to see it in the kitchen. When we got engaged she phoned us to ask what we would like as an engagement present, we asked for John lewis vouchers, we got a £10 argos voucher - you know the one's you get at Christmas free when you spend £100 - it had expired! Maybe the woman doesn't like me! Anyway, Given this example of present giving I dread to think what we will get as a wedding present when we get married next year, let alone what we will recieve when we get to our 25th anniversary!
