My previous Christmas pressies from MIL have included a toy vacuum cleaner...yes let me explain. She never puts herself out over these things ! She had a free gift sent with a childrens catalogue....On the big day I opened what looked like a hand held cleaner, like a dust buster. On closer inspection there were batteries in it , but just an on/off switch ,and it didn't actually pick anything up. With it there were instructions not to be used without an adult present and not suitable for under 3s. When I questioned it she told me it had been a free gift and hadn't bothered to look at it. Needless to say it went in the bin. So you see , I am not expecting anything worthwhile for our do.
