I'm trying to work hard on this too - and it is worth doing, because you enjoy your food so much more. I find that closing your eyes while you chew helps too - perhaps not if you're with oother people (except us!).
Realised this morning that I'm MUCH fitter - did 30 lengths without getting tired, had to stop because of time - that's 900m so I've nearly caught up with SL! Also wore a close fitting top which now looks good and formerly tight jeans which I keep having to hoick up - so don't know about the weight, but my shape has certainly changed!
