Yes, I’ve just finished it - & immediately want to read it again! I bought the hardback book from Amazon for £9, & I see that they have a paperback edition, published end of June, but it is £13! Anyway, it is an excellent read, and much better than The Island, which I didn’t like at all .
It would perfect for a “holiday read”, but the setting of the shocking civil conflict of the Spanish Civil War does cast a heavy cloud - & particularly if it is read on the beaches of Southern Spain. She has managed to spin together a story of passion and colour with a description of the human suffering of that war. I have been to Granada ,where I was in awe of the Alhambra, & the old town, but like most tourists was not aware of what had gone on during the war.
I will not comment on the story line - only to recommend that you simply buy the hardback now from Amazon! Highly recommended to read at home as well as on holiday!
