Hi I am Pat Baggott aged 52 and I live in South Devon. I have raised money for the Ribbon Walk which took place in Blenheim Palace yesterday.
So far I have raised £260.00.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last July and I have had so much support simply from logging onto the Breast Cancer care Web site and e chatting with others in a similar situation that I really wanted to do something in return.
Back when I signed up to do the walk it seemed a real impossibility ~ I was in the middle of chemo and feeling pretty rough, but the ribbon walk gave me something to aim for. I kept thinking that by 31st May I will be okay and I will be able celebrate ~ and I was!
What now? Well I am thinking of doing the London to Paris cycle ride in June 2009 to raise funds for the Primrose Unit at Derriford hospital where I was given first class treatment and support.
Onward and upward!
