Within the first few days of being on my own the flood gates opened with all of the things I hadn't been aware of. I went to see a solicitor, just told him the way things were and he said nothing for a while, just looked across the desk at me. I thought I had made a huge mistake. Then he said "I know you, I remember you from uni" I didn't recognise him, and he had changed courses in the second year. He was such a treasure and helped me so much to find my feet and gave me space to catch my breath.
