Be confident online
      #59062 - 11/02/2008 15:03

With new members joining every day, I thought it would be useful to share some tips for using the forums.

Remember that our forums are public and can be viewed by anybody on the Internet, not just forum users. Do not give out personal details such as your address, phone number, email address etc, in a post or on your profile.

If you are planning to meet up with other forum members - for a Supper Club, Walking Club or reader event - contact each other via private message for personal communication. Private messages can only be viewed by the recipient, and are not displayed publicly.

We want the woman&home forums to be a friendly environment, so please treat each other with respect. Remember that comments can be misconstrued when written down as the tone of voice is not conveyed. It's best to read your post back before you submit it!

We hope you enjoy being a part of this wonderfully supportive community.

Do PM me if you have any queries.

I'm a new member, just looking around the forum. It is brilliant, what a good idea.I have my laptop at the ready to join in..

I am still settling into a new area, not many friends well none actually!!apart from work colleague's don't think that counts.
I know I shouldn't just sit at home friends will not knock on my door and say come out....but its just getting out there that takes confidence and courage...
