Christmas Cleaning done!
      #514405 - 24/11/2009 22:57

I have spent the last two days deep cleaning my house in preparation for Christmas and if you think I sound smug - too darned right I am! I vacuumed the carpet to within an inch of it's life. There was not a nook or cranny, complete with spiders and cobwebs, that was safe. (The spiders had become complacent and were caught off guard )

I cannot start to enjoy Christmas until I get my house in order and it creeps up on you all of a sudden.Do you think that no-one can clean your house like you do? If you are doing a major clean it's always a bad idea to start in the kitchen. The kitchen is a work-in-progress. You could spend your youth in there. You could emerge and find that all your Christmases had passed you by!

Don't worry, I know I won't get to stay smug for long. I have been doing this house-keeping mularkey for long enough now to know that the gremlins are lurking in the background just waiting to sprinkle a bit of dust here and there while I sleep!

Anyway, I shall tidy the garage tomorrow and next week invite some people round because no-one ever calls when your house is tidy- we all know that!

Well done Shelbee!

I did the same last Saturday.....not for Christmas - just had some friends coming round and the house was a tip, so had to be done.

Why can't there be such a thing as a self-cleaning house? I would rather do (most) things than clean.

Have a fab time at The Crown girls, fab place, wish I could be there.

Hi Bobcat,Gem Nannyc & Jovilady,

(Oooops! Just noticed that this post ought to be in the "Your Homes" section and not in " Health and Well Being" Don't know how I did that. Anyway it's kinda to do with my well being.)

Sadly I cannot make The Crown due to prior engagement. I know that I am going to miss a great day out - dammit. P.S. Word of advice - someone needs to bring ChattyC's purse. She thinks she is the Queen or something!

And I am seriously thinking of going to Newcastle. It would be lovely to see some of you again and meet some new people too.
