I would be interested in joining a book club in the Newbury area. I live near Thatcham. I would also like to know if there is an active supper club in this area?

Hi, Perhaps we could set one up in the not too distant future? Im not big reader by any means, but do enjoy a good read when time permits and quite fancy the idea. I have just agreed to meet up for the Newbury Supper Club gathering this Monday. (See Newbury Supper Club heading on Forum menu)It will be my first time so why not come along too? Iv'e just sent you a reply re: Walknig Club

Thank you Elib...
I am attempting to rearrange my time and priorities this year... again!
Sadly, I can't come along to the supper club meeting tomorrow. But if you can keep me posted I would love to join the next one.
Frannie

Hi Chloe, I noticed you are also interested in the Supper Club. Do please come along to the next meet in Feb - I too am quite shy and went to the last meeting at Le Petite Square for the first time.....really strange walking into somewhere new and not knowing who I was supposed to be meeting!!!!! Anyhow I did it and the women are great and made me feel welcome so you must come next time and we can discuss what to do about setting up our own Book Club. What do you think? Let me know.
Elaine

Hi, I also mentioned about the Supper Club but am also keen on the book club. I am quite quiet and have loved books since I was small. This is one of the reasons I now where glasses!! Is the Book Club still in existence in the Newbury area ?
