Going to granada beginning of January.
Researched all the sites to visit.
Booked hotel already but does anyone know of any good places to eat?

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Granada. stayed in the Albaicin area and there are just so many little places to eat that do gret tapas. Just get up the little alleys away from the main tourist areas.
One Tapas place to really go to is the
Bodegas Casteneda---- it is the one of the oldest taps places in the toen, it is between the cathederal and grand via and the plazaa nueva, on one of the little streets. certainly worth finding, great free bits of taps and then a good chhice to ear in after. if you wish. Staff are great too.
There are lots of tea rooms as well for the stroll back to your hotel.

Stayed in Granada for 3 days and didn't eat an evening meal once as free tapas were great. They come with every drink even water. Move round after each drink and you will get a selection. I was desperate for something sweet though and as charliejojo says there are some great tea shops open late.
If you are going to Alhambra order your tickets before(our hotel did this for us but I think you can do it on the net) and you just walk straight in. We went for the morning session and had a few hours before our allotted time into the palace and we had lots of the grounds to ourselves. You must include the Generaliffe (sorry about spelling) Gardens. We did that after our visit into the palace. There is a bus that goes up to the Alhambra(it is quite a climb) but a great walk down.

No. The Sacremonte area is quite an interesting area to wander round during the day, many of the houses are bulit into the hillside. Also some lovely little alleys and streets and bars.
we didn't reall fancy the flamenco shows as we had read that you can easily get ripped off as they expect lots of money given in tips etc etc.
Can't say if this is true or not.

thanks I keep that in mind and I suppose it is a bit of a tourist show and not very genuine
