Always take my credit card and then it makes no difference and saves being left with odds and ends at the end of the holiday.

The cruise ship will have a bureau de change so if you want small spend you can cash in some of your travellers cheques on the day.

Have a great cruise..... you lucky person.

Turkey will accept Euros or their own Lire. They dont like their own I must say.

You will be ok with Euros

Hi Mimosa was going to say they love sterling, but not sure if you can get it in France...

we took turkis lira and sterling, like Scarlet said theya re not keen on their own currency but loved sterling and we got a better deal but that was only in Turkey...

hope you have a great time and enjoy it.

I would have suggested US dollars but could be wrong.
Travel agent would be the best person for definitive info.

Even in the markets I found we could spend sterling, so I'm sure you will have no trouble at all with Euros. If I remember rightly, the prices in the airport shops were in Euros, rather than Turkish Lira. Enjoy your cruise.

Mimosa we pop over to Turkey frequently and they prefer dollars, sterling or euro and quite frankly they don't want tl (Turkish lira)because of the fluctuating exchange rate and they won't even take tl for their entry visas!

Don't forget to haggle for anything you buy, never pay the asking price!

I got some money from a cash machine in Turkey this year - you get the choice of either Turkish Lire or Euro.
