Now, the question is, should I try to get the old one out and fit the new one before OH comes home from work tonight? What do you think?

Hi Biker and Plasmo.
Must admit I like to achieve the "impossible" before he gets home and would at least give it a go.
Have been hunting for kitchens etc all morning Plasmo. New one planned but too much choice. G

We have just had a new kitchen fitted and you won't believe how much it cost. Mind you I just love it, especially the big american fridge with water and ice dispensor, and the inductiion hob. However, my new oven is just not as quick as my old creda fan oven with hallogen grill. I have to add a few minutes to stuff when cooking. Also I can't get used to the fact that they say I should leave the door of grill closed when cooking. Does anyone else do this, it just seem not right somehow.

Hi Gill,
I dont think I would have any idea where to start, everything would probably combust, as soon as I started fiddling with things.

Think I am supposed to leave the door closed with this new one as well which will be a challenge. My old oven has lasted me 14 years and one of the little knobs broke and it keeps going on to auto and not letting me switch anything on hence the new oven. Had a Whirlpool and just got a Bosch.

You are so clever thinking about connecting up the new oven! I would not know where to start. Isn't the oven really heavy and awkward to fit into the oven housing? Mr F. would be truly amazed if I had connected up a new oven. p.s. So would I!!!!

Hi girls, subject very close to my heart, I NEED a new kitchen, bits starting to fall off, gas from hob leaking etc, but I don't want to part with my old oven, its like yours tuzanne a creda with a brilliant fast grill, but its brown and would look rediculious in a new kitchen, ohh decisions, decisions, I just dont know what to do.

i have a new kitchen (Magnet) and my new oven is sooo much hotter than the old one i keep burning things !! Think the old one had just had it's day and slowed down and i got used to it. The new one has a grill and the instructions say to keep the door closed when grilling but i usually leave it open. Bit tricky now though as thd door sometimes slams shut !! I've got used to the soft close drawers and cupboards and keep slamming the oven and fridge doors as i expect them to glide in softly and they dont !! i still keep forgetting where i've put stuff as the layout has been changed completely.
