Anyone been on the train across the Rockeries etc in Canada. if so, can you help with advice on clothes for the evening (long dress or smart casual)

Hi Hilary
My friend and I spent two and half days on the Rocky Mountaineer Train,stopping at Kamloops overnight and then the next overnight stay was in Banff, in May this year,and we were travelling Gold Leaf, we were dressed smart, but when we stayed overnight at the hotels we just had time to shower and change and then to dinner, there were no Long dresses etc, some passengers were travelling across the rest of Canada, but they only dressed in a casual manner, hope that this is of some help, it is a dream of a trip hope you enjoy it as much we did.
