Following on from the post about a friend's son...what's the etiquette on a brother's younger flatmate?? I am spending a few days with my brother while flat hunting and he has acquired a rather attractive younger (about 15 years younger than me) flatmate. Is he off limits? Have not said anything to my brother about this.....

Take it you like the younger man then ..
I quite understand as I married my toyboy...but I think the flatmate is off limits..if you had met him in different circumstances and you are both single then go for it...
but your brother may not be so understanding....they tend to be protective of their sisters...and if it doesn't work out..he loses a flatmate

Bev, I think it depends how old you are?? I mean if you are around 30 it's probably a no no!! I just think 15 years is a big gap - I know such relationships are ok in many instances - but I would not want someone 15 years younger than me anyway.

I'm with you goingbackwards - it does no harm to dream when a girl's mind turns to trivial things. But at my age I'm not sure I could cope with it. Bev if you are between 40 and 50 then I think a 15 year age gap might just work fo a while - but I think a brother's friend or flatmate is a definite no no. Too many problems if it doesn't work whatever the age gap.
