How is Lord Godiva? - thank you for asking!
      #415930 - 02/07/2009 21:40

Some of you have asked after Lord G as it appears he has been rather quiet lately - not so in fact!
Thank you so much for asking but please don't feel compelled to read on.
On being made redundant I decided Lord G needed a full medical overhaul before we lose the private healthcare - he thought it unnecessary but choice was not part of the discussion. As with all middleaged men once a Dr gets near you your bottom is not safe. Blood tests were ordered but Billy Godiva refused to take the time off work to see the professionals so yours truly volunteered for the task, sadly I missed first go (his fault because he made me nervous) but hit the jackpot second time around YS questioned whether I might have missed on purpose - obviously NOT ! Extraordinarily and incomprehensibly Billy Godiva wanted praise for the first class colour of his blood so whats that about - male ego I suppose???!?? Anyway lots more tests and pipes in orifices planned for the summer and all at weekends just to add a freeson of excitement to the week.
The cricket season is in full swing now and LG is obsessed with his duties as an official however he is equally obsessed with the quality of the cricket teas provided, he does compare (and not too favourably I might add) to a British bulldog with bulaemia.
Fishing is Lord G's latest fetish and a temper has been thrown with hours of sulking because he has only been allowed one new rod. He has a new super dupa net and a special 'bed' to lie the fish on before he puts them back in the water. Predictably when no one is present he catches massive fish one after the other and I hear tell the local pond has a great white shark - watch out for the news headlines!

Morning LadyG

We are, as always, waiting in anticipation for the next exciting instalment of LordG's activities.

And, as always, you make me laugh.

Kez x

I've got one like yours Lady G. Why do they have to have all the latest sports gear? OH has recently invested in brand new top of the range golf kit however has not played out here. On wednesday he went for a practice knock up or whatever it is called. Now his back is bad again and he thinks it is the golf!!!! He had so many problems before with it which the docs here have sorted and now it starts up again. Hadn't the heart to point out I could have had a luxury cruise on what he spent on the blasted set - might later though!
Like Kez I so look forward to Lord G's exploits.

Hey, good to hear what you've been up to lately, Lady G. You were last seen counting snails and eating the odd creme egg on the QT, if I remember rightly. And now you are performing DIY medicals - hope poor old Lord G makes the grade, otherwise he couId be shark bait by close of play! Keep us informed!

Olisa,
I am ashamed to say that Billy Godiva does not know that he is so high profile on the forum but he does get subjected to a lot of 'in house torment' due to his activities and luckily he takes it all in good heart

I wish my OH would go off and play golf. He used to play such a lot before we moved here. For some reason he took up bowls.
Now my SIL is talking about going to France or Spain to play golf, he is suddenly going to take his clubs out again. Not to play I might add - just to practice. Inthe hope of going off to France or Spain I am told.

I think it is good that they have a hobbie and something that helps keep them fit.

My BIL does nothing apart from the garden and the TV. If anybody should find a hobby, he should.

What can us ladies do. Any suggestions
