MM Day 169 Making a million
      #415028 - 30/06/2009 19:59

Back at the end of April I bought the Omron pedometer that Chilla recommends. I knew from past experience that a pedometer really motivates me to walk more but I wasn't sure I would use the feature for downloading the data onto the computer and seeing various charts of how my walking was going over the course of a number of weeks.
However, I have been downloading the information onto the computer from time to time and today I downloaded the information again and enjoyed looking at all the pretty graphs comparing different days' achievements and seeing the various facts and figures.
I am now close to my millionth step walked since getting the pedometer and that has given me quite a buzz.
Does anyone else track their walking progress over time?
Have you noticed an increase in your steps?
Is anyone else nearing a milestone number?

Hi CC,

Congratulations on your coming millionth.

I am still trying to work out which Omron I should be buying - there are so many with features I do not understand

Anyone know which version I should be looking to buy?

Hi, gilley,
The one I have says Omron Go Smart on the box and it says it is a 'Dual-Axis Pocket Pedometer'.
On the actual pedometer it says Omron Walking Style.
Hope that helps
My OH ordered it so I don't know how many he had to choose from and I didn't ask how much it cost because I would probably have told him not to spend so much money if I knew the cost.

Hi, Bloss,
Well done on getting over the million.
The second million should come much easier

Hi all

I wear my Omron pedometer every day too.....don't think it has that feature though! Think yours must be top of the range chaddychick.

Sorry can't advise which one to get gilley, mine was about £15 from Amazon, but maybe worth paying a few £s more for one where you can download info from it onto your computer. I just look at mine to see how many steps I've done, not calories, kms or all the other features it seems to have.
