MM Day 165 Being part of the "gang"
      #413512 - 26/06/2009 13:47

Reading some of the recent MM posts has made me realise that we now have a very friendly, supportive group going.I feel that I know people I haven't met and it's good to know that MM posts are really making a difference to our lives
I've done my squats, sit ups,arm exercises today and wouldn't be even thinking of doing them if MM didn't exist.Group power works!
I also walk much more than I ever did and actually enjoy it too.
Since being in the MM gang I've lost weight,my blood pressure has lowered,my kidneys are functioning properly, they weren't before I started this, and I've made friends.Great results, thanks for your support everyone.
Anyone can be in the MM gang, you just need to want to be a bit fitter and to join in with us by doing whatever you can to Move a bit More each day.

Hi dec

Can I join your gang please? I was inspired by whitleybay on our visit to Belfast, how she is MM and losing weight. I've been trying to walk and exercise more, mainly because my blood pressure is described as 'borderline'.

I bought the Omron pedometer (as recommended on the forum), and I'm trying to walk at least 10000 steps a day, easy on a work day but not so easy on days off (Thurs & Fri). But yesterday I walked 15000, not intentionally but lost car key so had to walk to and from hairdressers! Today I needed to go to the Post Office (about 2 miles away), but walked instead of driving (found car keys last night), and so far today I've done 8102 steps.

My OH is getting sooooo bored with me and says I'm 'obsessed with my pedometer'! So would like to bore the rest of the MM gang instead please!

Hi everyone and welcome to you Gem. I'll be looking out for your MM posts, as you say, reading everyone's posts is really, really helpful.

Well Gem17 you are putting me to shame. My pedometer is barely over 5000 steps so I think I'll go and ask Mr Chaddy if he fancies a walk down to the library. That should make the pedometer reading more respectable. It will also be weight training too if I carry a load of books back.
