Update on baby Halle
      #406211 - 11/06/2009 19:08

Firstly thank you to everyone who posted and have been praying for her and to all who pm'd me. I know you all wanted an update and spoke to grandparents today. Unfortunately they were unable to operate yesterday as tumour is full length of her little wind-pipe (5 months old). Also she had a tumour removed from it just 2 months ago and for scar tissue etc it is too dangerous. They are now giving her a lot of steriods to see if it will shrink as that is the best option. Today though her mum and dad can actually feel the lumpiness through her wee chest so sounds pretty grim. She is a bonny baby and is a good weight which Doctors have said if she was puny she wouldn't have survived. Thank you all and I will let you know next week how things are when grand-parents get back from Scotland as they are now going over to be with her. I wanted to say thank you from the family for all your thoughts and prayers and to update you.

aec13cat

Was shocked to read the above as I hadnt seen anything previously on this - what an awfully sad scenario - my very best wishes to little Halle and all her family - is she a member of your family?

As a grandma, cant imagine what the parents and grandparents must be feeling........certainly will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi aec13cat

The poor wee soul. My thoughts are with her parents and her grandparents. I do not have children and I cannot imagine what they are going through. Halle and her family will be in good hands.

I will say a prayer for Halle and her family tonight.

Dormouse

wow poor little love her plight puts your own world into perspective. I hope that her suffering is minimised by effective treatment and the family supported. I am afraid I don't pray but both she and her family will be very much in my thoughts
