I expect most of you ladies already do this to clean them, but I after years of wiping every slat with a damp cloth, ( i have 4 blinds so I always had bribe myself to do them), I suddenly realised I could vac them with the upholstery attachment. Simples!!

I have 5 venetian blinds that always seem to be fluffy no matter what I do to them. Hadn't thought of the vacuum attachment. Do you just run it over a closed blind or still go over the slats individuually?

Close the blind and hoover away. Like you would if you hoovered curtains (do people do that?)

Thanks for this post Loo. It was very timely. I was just looking at my dusty venetian blinds and dreading climbing up on the kitchen counters with a damp cloth to clean them. I shall get the hoover on them today! Funny you should mention curtains. We hoovered our lounge curtains (2 sets of wide ceiling to floor lined curtains) at the weekend. We actually found it easier to get in all the creases at the tops by taking them down, lying them on the floor, hoovering them and then putting them back. We were totally shocked how dusty and cobwebby they were when the house is thoroughly cleaned every week! or so we thought!
