do they work? I am large breasted lady and have a fitted top, that although fits well,I feel it is tight over my breasts, would a minimiser bra help? does anyone have any advice, and if so what type to go for and make. or any alternatives, returning the top is not an option.

Why don't you take the top along to M&S and try on one of their minimisers with the top as well, then you can see whether you think it works or not. Also, you could go and have a chat with the ladies in Rigby & Peller at Bluewater and see what they offer?

Minimisers are good as they have slightly more fabric under to allow the breast to sit slighlty down into that - does that make sense?? Also try Bravissimo, excellent for the fuller busted lady and they have lots of help and advise.
Best Wishes Lindy

I would thoroughly recommend Bravissimo (Fantasie brand in particular but not sure whether they do minimisers). Rigby & Peller do lovely bras too but they are more expensive. The best success I have had was by going to a large department store where they stock lots of makes because their fitters can often recommend a particular make for your shape/size as well as getting the right fit. Good luck! Silverfrog

I have used the M&S range for sometime now and find them really good I am 38DD and always trying to make them look smaller, and feel fine when wearing the minimiser. They are mostly really pretty as well. A good idea to take new top along and try on as somebody already suggested. June x

I tried one of these from M and S and to be honest never quite got on with it. I found it was too flattening , I think its a case of experimenting.

I wear a sheepdog bra actually. Doesn't minimise, just rounds them up and points them in the right direction! Seriously though I have tried minimisers but the best ever are my bras from Bravissimo - very very good fit. P.S. I am 38G

Hi Muncie - A Sheepdog bra rounds them up and points them in the right direction! Only a joke - hope you get it. Maybe it's my northern humour as I am originally from Merseyside.
