Hi Ladies
Dont know if anyone can help me please
I have bought a pair of sandles and they have for want of a better description a "toe post", they have rubbed inbetween my toes
Can anyone suggest how to combat this cause they are really nice and i want to wear them again

Hi ladyJayne,
build up your time a little each day, this worked for me, as well as lotil cream to ease the sore skin.
You could also try rubbing the toepost to soften it up a bit.
Hope this helps and you enjoy wearing your sandals in the sunshine.

It's a bit like wearing a thong..you just have to persevere until they get comfy like bobcat says!

I;m breaking mine in for my hols by wearing them in the house as every year I end up with blisters and plasters for the first couple of days away. I tried the plastic things by scholl but couldn't keep them in place.

have you tried putting vaseline between your toes as my ED says it is very good for blisters....might work!

One pair I had, I put a plaster round the actual post so making it a bit softer- it did help. Wasn't too visible when you are actually wearing the shoe.

I think you can buy special "bits" to put on the toe posts.
They're probably with the Scholl party feet area.

Hi Lady Jayne and Everyone,
I know how you feel, I wear Birkenstocks a lot in the summer, and have quite a few pairs with the toe post design, and I had terrible trouble initially, and just used to wrap a see through plaster around the toe, in the hope that it would stop the rubbing and soreness, which it did.
Hope you have some luck, as it would be a shame if you couldnt wear your sandals because of that problem.

I was just looking on Debenhams website, under shoe acsessories (sp!) and Scholl do flip flop strips, which you put round the toe posts for £2 a pack. Or Debenhams do their own make top post protectors for £5.
Any good?

Betterware catalogue do something to wrap around the toe post.
Never have any soreness with them.It's the heels of shoes I get blisters with.

I love "toe post" sandals and even though I wear them a great deal - the first time each summer they can rub. I have discovered "Compeed" (the product is like a very small container of deodorant), you apply it where shoes might rub, absolutely great for any type of shoes - I know you can buy it in Superdrug, Hope this helps you.
