w&h short story competition
      #390321 - 13/05/2009 16:53

Hi all
Wasn't sure where to post this, so thought the Book Club forum might be a good place to start!

Does anyone know how many entries you can submit for the w&h 2009 short story competition? I've got two stories I think might be ok but wasn't sure if we were only allowed to enter one story.

Thanks

well,hello dolly
Was a regular forumette back in 2007,spent many, many(probably too many) happy hours chatting about books and life and everything in between.
Am now back and also going to enter short story competition.
To get back to your question,I would imagine you are only allowed submit one(could be wrong, frequently am,but sure where`s the harm?)
Hope you do well in the competition(I think I`ve to get rid of about 1,000 words.
Only writing I`ve ever done has been book reviews here!!!!!!!,

Hi paulagalvin! Thanks for replying. I think I'll just submit the one story then ...

Good luck with the competition. Now all I gotta do is find a half-decent photo of myself. Could take a while ......

Hi there,

I just looked on the website to see what the topic was this year and it sayd that you need an entry form for each story so I reckon that means you can submit more than one entry.

I think read somewhere that you can download extra forms from the website, not sure though.

Hi DD,

Yes, you can enter more than one story.

I have sent my entry in. It is my first attempt at a short story and also at a competition for writing. Really enjoyed the process and feel quite excited but I know they wll be inundated.

Good luck with your entries ladies. Fingers crossed for us all.x

Hi

I entered this competition too and enjoyed the process a lot. I didn't keep the magazine though and can't remember the drill - ie when we get to see the results etc. Not waiting with baited breath but I do like reading the entries.
Does anyone know?
New to this forum so apologies if this should be on another thread.
Salome
