I do (because I'm so pale) but sometimes on the weekend I go without. I had to pop out to a retail outlet near me on the weekend and caught sight of myself, OMG, in old clothes and no make up - so hoped no one would see me. Well you can guess I bumped into someone.
Next time she saw me she said "were you ok when I saw you on Saturday, you didn't look well". I laughed and said I was fine and always look like that under my make up. She's not the only one who has said it, my MIL always asks if I'm ill when I'm not wearing makeup.
So do you always wear make up everyday or need to?

Hi gyp,
I don't need to wear make-up every day, but I do. Mostly because of the SPF that so many of them have. Funnily enough, when I was working I didn't wear foundation as it took too much time to put on in the morning!

Yes, I do and I'll be wearing it when I arrive at the Pearly Gates too!

Oh dear, think I am a oddball, I never wear makeup. Don't ask me why, as I don't know, never have, not even as a teenager. Maybe it is because I was brought up by my Dad.

I never leave the house without mascara, but only tend to wear foundation if going out in the evening

I do remember my step mum paying for a make up session for me (think I was about 25), remember coming out of the salon and feeling like a clown, needless to say, I went straight home and got out the soap and flannel

Most days I'll put some on, need it for work.
Years ago I had my make-up done by someone just starting out as a make-up artist, in return for a charity donation. Most of it was ok but the lip-liner was far too dark for the lipstick. It looked like a child's outline drawing which had been coloured in. As soon as the lady had gone I grabbed a tissue and wiped all the lip stuff off. The doorbell rang and I was so glad I wasn't answering it looking ridiculous.....................except guess who had come back because she had forgotten the charity money!

I wear make-up everyday, partly because I look ill without it but partly because it sets me up for the day, it's just part of my "getting ready" routine in the morning.
I've found a lovely L'Oreal moisturiser that has a tint which I wear at weekends or on holiday as it's not as heavy as a foundation.

I'll have a look at that, BetEBoop. My routine takes 5 minutes at the most. Slap it on and hope for the best.

When I was working I wore make-up every day, but sometimes now, I leave the eye make-up off.
It does make a huge difference though, even though I do the same stuff and don't really know what I'm doing..........
I once went into work forgetting lipstick, and everyone told me I looked so ill that day. A look in the mirror reminded me and they were astounded at the difference.

You would never see me without make-up. Only takes me 5 mins but I have very red cheeks so need to get the foundation on to cover it up. I love wearing make-up and taking time over it if going out for a meal etc. Did receptionist work in a beauty salon so the girls were always doing my make-up for me and they did it really well and very natural so picked up some tips. Sounds like some of the ladies had disasters with their applications so I have been lucky.

The only time I'm without make up is this time, 1st thing in the morning - not a good sight! I even feel that I should be dressed, make up on etc when on the forum! Just as well there is not a web camera! But I could do with some professional advice re foundation and eye make up, I'm sure there is more I could do. Aec13cat- like you, I have very red cheeks and nose - I just cant disguise the redness - have you any tips please?

yep, every single day, another pale face here. Also being blonde you can't see my eyelashes without mascara. Doesn't take me long, a few minutes at most to do my everyday make-up, and for me it's a must.

Yes me too every single day, I def wouldnt go out without it tho having said that I do during the day on holiday but then I have a huge pair sunglasses on!! Today I have rather a lot of concealer on and more foundation than normal cos had juvederm fillers on Wed and am a bit bruised so my face does feel rather "heavy" !!! Someone was asking re "red cheeks", I'm actually the reverse and have very sallow skin so if no make up on then I def look ill but do know that Boots for instance have a green cream that might work under foundation, worth a try..
