Leicestershire and South Derbyshire walkers Saturday 21st March
      #344814 - 26/02/2009 21:49

Does anyone want to join me for a walk, chat and coffee on Saturday 21st March? I shall PM the usual suspects and some others who expressed an interest and we can take it from there. I was thinking of meeting at 10:30, perhaps at Bradgate Park because it's tarmac-ed so it won't be muddy! What do you think?

Penny

Hi Penny
Sounds good to me I shall definately be there. Hopefully we will get some nice spring weather, if not we will just have to stay in the cafe and eat more cakes!

That would be lovely Gem. Last time we went to the cafe behind the village store so we could meet up there and stay until you arrive.

Hi Penny,

I haven't been on any of these Walking club 'do's' and fancy giving it a go!

Would it be OK if I joined you all?

Not sure where the village store is but I'm sure I can find it.

Bev.x

It'll be nice to meet you Bev. The village store is on the main street in Newtown Linford and the cafe is at the side of the shop. I'll PM you with my mobile phone number but I don't think the reception is very good near there.

You may be able to park on the road for free, otherwise there is a charge for the car park unfortunately.

Penny

Hi

New to this but would love to walk in Bradgate Park. Can I join you? Looking to make new friends as I have just filed for divorce after 23 years and feeling lonely and vulnerable.

Thanks Ellen you are an absolute star. My home pc has broken and had to go to the PC Hospital and I've been really worried because I knew Elaine posted but couldn't get on to reply (I'm at work now). Unfortunately my PC will be away for several days.

Elaine I will send you a PM with my mobile phone number on. Please join us, you will be made very welcome. I split up with my husband last year so you are not alone!!

see you on 21st

Penny

You all sound great fun. Will hopefully see you at Bradgate Park on the 21st - 10.30 a.m at Cafe on the main street? Be kind I'm a little shy.

Also not sure that I can do supper club now on 13th I completely forgot I sit by a swimming pool Saturday's until about 12.30 p.m watching youngest swim. I'm making an exception for the walk but she will get grumpy if I keep cancelling!

Look forward to seeing you

Elaine
