W.Lothian/Central Scotland book/supper club - March meeting
      #341128 - 21/02/2009 18:44

Nice to see you again SBQ.

For those of you who didn't manage our February meeting we arranged the next meeting for Wednesday 18 March at 7.30ish. We haven't sorted out a venue yet because we thought we'd wait to see who else was interested. Our book choice for next month is "When will there be good news" by Kate Atkinson which is in all the shops just now.

Look forward to hearing from anyone else who might be interested.

Hi Ladies

Would any of the newbies (or oldbies) like to join a fairley new bookclub??

We are a small but perfectly formed group of ladies who get together to read and chat. Nothing too heavy .
We all get the chance to chose a book we would like to read....so all tastes are included.
We meet in different places (restaurants) so everyone travels and gets to chose somewhere close to them.

Please get in touch we'd love to have your company
and it's a good way of making new friends

Don't be shy.....we're lovely...honest!
SBQ

Hello, I'd like to join your book club - I am in Broxburn, so can get to most Central Scotland locations. I am fairly new to the forum - haven't posted much yet - can I come to your next meeting?!! I am an avid reader of lots of different genres - but always welcome the chance to read something outside my comfort zone. Looking forward to hearing from you

Lovely to hear from you. It will be nice to have someone joining us.

SBQ and I are meeting again on 15 April 7-7.30ish. We haven't sorted out a venue yet because we thought that we'd wait and see if anyone else was interested in joining us.
We picked "The Necklace" by Cheryl Jarvis. It's out in paperback .

SBQ will probably post something on a new thread this week so look out for that.

Ellen

Look forward to seeing you.

I've just picked the book up. Neither SBQ nor I realised it's not fiction. It's actually based on events that happened! You'll need to look for it in Biography. I found it in Waterstones.

Ellen
