Feedback to editorial team - UPDATE
      #323392 - 31/01/2009 10:46

Having given them a week to respond (which of course they didn't) I've now cancelled my subscription to W&H. Got the usual response from the Subscription team, sorry to lose you etc etc, absolutely no reference to the many points I made in my email. I will apparently get a pro-rata refund, having had 2 magazines. The money isn't really the issue - I'd like to think that I made a point - but they really don't seem to care about losing subscribers, so an empty gesture perhaps, but it made me feel better! One has to assume they make such a massive profit that it doesn't matter if a few of us fall by the wayside. I guess the advertising revenue alone more than pays the overheads.

I had a similar experience - asked several times for Sue James to respond: several others equalled my feelings that the magazine is shallow, predictable with absurd articles. In 12 months, I found only one item of real interest, so did not renew my subscription. The editorial team could not care less about the one or two [but increasing] subscribers who opt out. This is my first time back on the forum since February. Reading the superficial and daft threads in the forum makes me quite sad that there are obviously a huge number of women who have nothing better to do all day. Oh well, it's their life.
